chineserestaurants.com.au publishes general information about Chinese dining culture in Australia. It does not constitute professional, medical, dietary, allergen, financial or legal advice. Confirm details with the venue, a clinician or the relevant authority before you act.
We do not operate restaurants. We do not take bookings. We do not keep a live list of rooms. We do not warrant that any kitchen, ingredient list or seating arrangement described in general terms will match the room you visit.
Food, allergens and dietary needs
Chinese restaurant kitchens use stock, oyster sauce, lard, shrimp paste, soy, wheat and nut oils in places the English name will not reveal. “Vegetable” can still mean chicken stock. “Tofu” can still arrive with minced meat. Gluten hides in soy sauce, wrappers and some dumpling skins.
Nothing on this site is a safe-to-eat list. Say the allergen in plain language to the floor. Ask what they can cook from scratch. If you have a medically restricted diet, treat that conversation as yours, not as something a guide can finish for you. If a page discusses vegetarian or gluten-avoiding tables, it is describing questions to ask, not guarantees.
Recipes are home methods. They assume you can judge your own heat, ingredients and guests. They are not clinical nutrition advice.
Facts that move
Precincts, opening hours, prices, festival dates, licensing and kitchen practice change. We do not invent those figures and we do not promise they are current. A street name is geography. A shopfront is a lease. Walk the street. Phone the venue.
Mentions of markets, museums, councils or public institutions are geographic and civic. They are not endorsements and they are not a claim that we speak for those bodies.
Photographs are illustrative. They are not a picture of a named room on a named night.
Rankings, quotes and operators
We do not publish scores, hats or “best of” lists. We do not invent quotations. We do not list operators as currently trading. If you treat a method page as a review index, you are using it wrongly. The opinion that matters is the one you form at the table.

Corrections
If a page is wrong, use the contact form. We will not take a booking enquiry through that form. We will consider a specific correction to a precinct or a method.
Use of this site is at your own discretion. If you need advice you can rely on, speak to the appropriate professional, not to a dining guide.
Recipes, banquet notes and yum cha how-tos describe common practice. They are not a promise that every room or every home stove will behave that way. Heat, ingredients and skill vary. If something on a plate makes you unwell, seek medical help and contact the venue. Do not treat this site as a record of what you ate.
Links to other pages on this domain are part of the same general-information guide. They do not add a booking service or a directory where the surrounding sentence said there was none.
